This product is very easy to put together and is great for lighter things. Has a tendacy to sway and tip over if you put heavier items on it. Keep it very light and you will ove this rack for the low price, but if you want soemthing that functions for actual storage of a significant amount of clothing: keep looking!

I should have listened to the poor reviews. The vertical poles slide into a plastic base about an inch deep. Put any weight in clothes on it at all and the rack collapses because the cheap plastic base can’t hold the poles. I really didn’t want to spend 3x the price on the all metal ones. But this is not a choice – it can’t support the weight – terrible design.

I needed a garment rack for temporary use so I did not want to spend a lot of money. I came across the Whitmore Deluxe Adjustable Garment rack, read the good and bad reviews and decided to try it anyway, maybe I’ll have good luck. No go. It has fallen at least 2-3 times. It’s like a balancing act. I should have listened and kept the box to return it.

Very easy to assemble and set up. It is not very solid in its feel and kinda sways around a bit. Hasn’t given any problems yet, and for the price, its a very good buy. Also, I have it loaded up quite well too.

    I would buy this again.

I purchased this “rolling, mobile” garment rack to use occasionally – and even that was too much. If you look at the display pictured here on the internet, you see it has two shirts hanging on it. That’s about all it can handle – that’s as long as you don’t roll it! I bought it to hang and transport basic dance costumes for my daughter. Mind you, these costumes don’t weigh anymore than a typical dress shirt and skirt, at the most. We liked the two adjustable levels for both short and long clothing pieces. It is 90% plastic, the “tubes” fall down the minute you place just one hanger on them, and the entire unit separates the minute you start to roll it. I have only used it two times, and one of the castors (wheels) snapped off when I rolled it about two feet. I just printed my receipt from purchasing this only 5 weeks ago and am returning it! I have seen several parents using the “Chrome Commercial Folding Garment Rack” and they seem to love it. It is a much “heavier duty” rack, is very tall, but they tell me it breaks down easily and only has a height of about 5 inches when they pack it in their trunk. The cost of that one is about double this one, but I have learned you get what you pay for.
