First International Law & Economics Colloquium at the Brazilian Supreme Court – CLACDE

The Law and Economics movement is considered by many as the most important intellectual challenge within legal scholarship in recent decades influencing legislation and judicial reasoning in many countries of the world. The Latin American and Caribbean Law and Economics Center (CLACDE) associated with the George Mason Law & Economics Center and the Latin American and Caribbean Law and Economics Association (ALACDE) aims at the promotion of forum of debates on Law and Economics at the Judiciaries in Latin America and Caribbean countries and broadening inter-university cooperation on the issue of judicial training, including seminars on the economic analysis of law.

On the 23rd of May, The Latin American and Caribbean Law and Economics Center (CLACDE) is promoting the first International Colloquium at the Brazilian Supreme Court. The event will gather Justices and renown international scholars of Law & Economics as Henry Manne, Frank Buckley, Robert Cooter, Andres Roemer and Nuno Garoupa, and important Brazilian scholars as Armando Castelar, Décio Zylbersztajn, Jairo Saddi e Rachel Sztajn.
